Making A Profit From Teabagging

Not everyone agrees with me-- and I can see, and even respect, the opposite point of view-- but I've always had it in my head that when you really believe in something, it transcends the profit motive. When I was a college freshman, for example, I really, really believed that all the problems in the world would be solved if everyone got stoned. At my campus there was a small hard core of beatnik types and folkies smoking pot, and there was one senior who sold pot, for $45 an ounce. ISource: DownWithTyranny! RSS Feed

Matthews Finds Another Reason to Fawn Over Bush's Top Gun Moment

Just doing my best here to help Digby achieve her life's work.

I plan to make it my life's work to remind Chris Matthews of these little exchanges. It was the day that Matthews revealed that he and the other media whores were not just shilling for the GOP for professional reasons, but that they actually had a barely contained (and inexplicable) sexual attraction to George W. Bush.

SEALs capture terrorist - SEALs arrested!

First we had Congressman John Murtha accusing US Marines of atrocities in Haditha, Iraq - a blatant lie based on false information supplied by the enemy. Those Marines had to face an arduous multi-year trial despite the obvious fabrication of evidence, and it is still not over for some. Next we have the Obama administration seeking to soothe Muslim fears about "backlash" after a Muslim Major commits the first successful act of terrorism on our soil since 9/11, while theySource: Faultline USA RSS Feed

ThinkFast: November 23, 2009

The federal government faces “a trifecta of headaches: a mountain of new debt, a balloon of short-term borrowings that come due in the months ahead, and interest rates that are sure to climb back to normal as soon as the Federal Reserve decides that the emergency has passed.” Still, the NYT’s Paul Krugman warns that a phantom debt menace could hinder our nation’s economic recovery.

Some Random Shots From Day 1 in Las Vegas

Had a long day today. Departed Petaluma in a steady drizzle at 6:30 for the 604 mile drive to Las Vegas. Made a few stops on the way for gas and food, and finally pulled into the parking lot at The Flamingo at 4:00 pm. Pretty much what I thought would happen, and there were no surprises along the way.
We did a little sightseeing and shopping, per usual, and now it's time to crash for awhile.
